Anti Vibration & Floating Floors

A vital part of any noise control scheme is the provision of adequate vibration isolation. Mechanical plant should be mounted on suitable isolators to prevent the transmission of vibration and mechanically transmitted sound into the building structure.
AES supply a full range of vibration isolation equipment ranging from simple rubber pads through spring mounts to resilient support for walls, floors and even buildings.

The main product ranges are:

Neoprene pads and mounts:

Ribbed and waffle pads and high deflection turret mounts are primarily used to reduce noise and high frequency vibration transfer.

Spring mounts:

Used where maximum vibration and noise control is required. Open, caged and restrained mounts available with deflections of up to 125mm.

Hangers:

Neoprene hangers are typically used to support an acoustic ceiling or to provide isolation of high frequency vibration.

Spring and spring / neoprene combined hangers are used for optimum isolation of machinery and in high performance ceilings.

Inertia Bases:

Typically used to provide a solid foundation for mounting pumps, helping to limit movement and out of balance forces. Can be used with either neoprene or spring mounts.

Architectural Isolation:

There are many applications that require a particularly high degree of acoustic isolation between rooms. Typical situations occur in modern leisure complexes where noisy areas such as bowling alleys, cinemas and night clubs are located in a single building.

To maximise the sound insulation between such areas it is often necessary to create high performance structures which are fully isolated from each other.
